The Joys of being an Accordion Daddy.

I had a some nice bits of news today that put a smile on my face without having to go near the accordion, though I did have a good squeeze on a Philarmonic IISV for a good few hours soon after anyway. I can't help myself.
The website has had over 1000 hits in the last few weeks which means some of you must be reading my posts... If you are please let me know you are there. I'll write more. Only one comment so far out of a thousand visitors must mean we accordionists are a strange breed indeed.
Hot of the press...I have got some other accessories I'll be adding to the site that are a must for every accordionist. I hope to have them up in the next week. The best shoulder straps you will find anywhere, soft cases, and back straps. All made by the masters in Castelfidardo.  Italcinte make by far the most comfortable straps I ever used. They are much wider than the usual shoulder strap and this helps distribute the weight of the accordion so you are not getting the dreaded sore shoulders that might interfere with your playing and cause bruising after a gig and worse stil cause you to have posture like a Parisian bell ringer with a hangover.  That's happened to me a lot after a ceilidh. I'm used to having to stand with an accordion sometimes for 4 hours or more when at a ceilidh and I can't stand using 'cheapo' straps anymore. I bought a few of those on ebay a few years ago and they were quite useless. I'd have problems with the accordion falling off my shoulders half way through a tune and at the end of the night the brusing on the shoulders was quite incredible, you'd think I'd been tandem sky-diving with Quasimodo. The difference is chalk and cheese with Italcinte, a good quality padded Italian leather strap.
Onyhoo....seeing as I mentioned it on the subject of ebay I'll be selling some of the accessories  online through my newly created ebay shop as it's an easy way to do business or you can also buy them from me by dropping me an email if you prefer the more personal touch. I'll be happy to help you either way.
I'll need to sign off now. My wife is away for work this evening and I'm the babysitter.  The joys of being an accordion daddy.
